You had my heart and soul in your hand and you played it to the beat.
It's my half-birthday! I love my birthday, and even though it isn't my ACTUAL birthday, I still like celebrating my half-birthday. Haha. Since it's also Cinco de Mayo and I'm going out with Whitley, it should be fun times.
We're going out for Mexican tonight, and I am excited. I love Mexican food! I love celebrations! I love Whitley! I am very excitable today, obviously. :)
I have had so many issues with printing my cover letter today. I couldn't send it to my dad yesterday, because I have a Mac and he doesn't....so he bought a new printer last night. Well, the printer needs a USB cord that has USB thingy on both sides. SO WEIRD. It didn't come with the printer...so I have to find one. Well, we have none in our house. I'm frustrated. Ugh ugh ugh. Obviously I am not meant to finish my cover letter TODAY, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow or next week.
I used the time that I could have spent sending my cover letters out packing for Memphis tomorrow. I have a graduation outfit, a cute evening outfit (jean skirt and cute top), jeans, tshirts, shorts, cami, and lots of shoes. Plus pjs and undies. Yay!
Last night I went over to Whitley's, where we hung out with her roomie for about an hour. Then we met up with Savannah at Old Chicago Pizza, where they had the same kind of pizza and I had pasta. Our waiter was the most fantastic man ever, and I gave him a pretty good tip because he made me happy. He was just really soft-spoken and nice, and he was really apologetic when he told me that something I wanted couldn't be made. Savannah accidentally winked at him, hahahaha. It was so hilarious...I was like "you're the only non-single girl at the table and YOU wink at him!" At the end of dinner, Savannah was trying to decide if she wanted to DRIVE to Target and we had some communication issues.
Savannah: Is it worth it to drive to Target?
Kasi: It's right there, so yes.
Savannah: I know, that's why I'm thinking about it.
Kasi: Well, then do it. It's RIGHT THERE.
Savannah: I know, it's right there.
Kasi: YES. So why wouldn't you go?
Savannah: I meant DRIVE there.
Kasi: Oh...okay. We could walk.
Hahahahaha. It was so funny. We were basically just saying the same thing over and over again, but I was not understanding what she meant. We're going to be the most awesome old lady friends, we will never understand anything the other one says.
We went to Target and tried to find some clothes. I found cute shorts for $4 and a nightdress thing for Amanda...and flipflops. I'm addicted to buying flipflops. I also found out that I can wear a size XL (2/3) in kids-I tried on a pair of rainboots that were that size and they were actually a LITTLE big. I have the world's tiniest foot for a 25 year old woman. Ugh. We got sucked into the baby section, and I am instantly obsessed with all the little girl clothes. At one point I was like "why are none of us pregnant?" and Savannah said "Because we're not married." Hahahaha. So true for us...I am impressed by my ability to make any friends of mine really into babies and the baby section of any store we enter. Savannah was very anti-babies, and it's taken YEARS but she is starting to talk about having babies one day and exclaiming over adorable baby clothes in stores. She even holds (certain) babies willingly! I'm so proud.
We also found jewelry, and we talked about engagement rings. We are such GIRLS. All we do is talk about boys, engagement rings, marriage, babies, and sometimes books and tv. I love us.
